As
your County Assessor, my staff and I are responsible
for discovering, listing and determining the fair
market value of approximately 47,000 parcels located
in Laramie County. To accomplish this, industry-accepted
mass appraisal procedures and methodologies are used.
Items such as location, property characteristics,
sales information, etc., are analyzed each year to
determine the estimated fair market value. The cooperation
and involvement of property owners contributes to
more accurate values. Taxation is a complex and unpopular
subject. Understanding the statutory requirements
of this office and your rights as a property owner
may help in relieving concerns.
