Position: Customer Service Representative/Range Safety Officer
Department: Laramie County Shooting Sports Complex

Starting Pay: $8.25/hour, plus Range usage

This position provides customer support for the Shooting Sports Complex while supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. This support includes answering phones, greeting customers and accurately collecting payments for goods and services. This position will also be responsible for maintaining safety on the range by enforcing Range rules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Qualified candidates must have a H.S. diploma (or equivalent) and one year experience with cash handling or general clerical duties. Must have demonstrated firearms handling experience and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Position: County Clerk Records Clerk

This position is an un-benefited temporary assignment to assist the County Clerk's Office with a completion of project. This position will be scanning numerous documents and attaching them to electronic records and doing related quality control work. Ideal candidates will be dependable, conscientious, self-motivated person to help us with our imaging projects. Candidates must be at least 18, a fast learner and able to work 15 hours a week. There may be some flexibility in start times, depending upon the particular person's situation and project constraints. Hours will vary from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM and be approximately 3 hours a day.

Position: Assistant Public Works Director

This position performs a variety of professional, administrative and managerial duties in assisting the Public Works Director. The position performs both assigned and independent duties. The position requires coordination and implementation of a variety of Public Work projects, including but not limited to dealing with citizen complaints, budgeting and department purchases. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Public Administration or related field; and 4 years experience in managing Public Works projects, including 2 years supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Must also have a valid Commercial Driver's License.

Under the Department Director, this position plans and manages the development of the Cheyenne and Laramie County Geographic Information System (GIS) Program by promoting the program, identifying priorities, coordinating development activities with other agencies, and assuring the program achieves strategic and tactical goals. The Cheyenne/Laramie County GIS Executive Committee, which consists of the City, the County and the Board of Public Utilities (BOPU) and others, will retain advisory input to the activities of the position. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Computer Science, or related field; and four years' experience in managing spatial data in a GIS program; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  Successful candidates will have to successfully complete a criminal history, background check, and polygraph along with having an acceptable driving record.
