About Us
The Clerk of District Court is responsible for maintaining the records of all cases filed in the First Judicial District Court dating back to 1890. The Clerk has many duties which include the processing of cases and court ordered payments, as well as the administration of appeals from this court to the Wyoming Supreme Court, and setting up and monitoring all jury trials in the First Judicial District.

Our cases consist of: Civil matters over $50,000 (Judgments, Divorces, Torts, Adoptions, etc.) Criminal Felonies, Juvenile Crimes and Neglect and also Children in Need of Supervision, Paternity and Child Support Enforcement Cases, Probate Matters such as Estates or Involuntary Commitments.

We collect non-child support fees such as Criminal Fines, Criminal Bonds, and Restitution. Alimony is distributed through the Clerk of Court Office.

We collect and distribute to the Custodial Parents, over One Million Dollars a month in Child Support.

Cell phones are NOT allowed upstairs in the courthouse so please leave them at home or in your car
