BOARD OF HEALTH SUMMARY REPORT

HOME LOAN / SEPTIC PROGRAM
:

New loan inspections evaluated were six (06).
Pre-Existing Loan inspections evaluated were nineteen (19), an increase in loans of thirteen (13) year to date from July 2009.
Residential septic permits issued were eleven (11).
Commercial septic permits issued were zero (00).
Repair septic permits issued were two (02), no change year to date from July 2009.
Septic inspections were fourteen (14), an increase of twelve (12) year to date from July 2009.

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT:

Plats, Subdivisions, Zone Changes and Variances Reviews:
Staff reviewed sixteen (16) Cheyenne and Laramie County Site Plans.

FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM:

Food Service Establishment Plan Reviews:

Food Service Inspections:

Food Service Regular Inspections: 23. Total inspections were 29.
Itinerant (temporary) food service permits issued: 169. Issued for the year: 448.

Itinerant Inspections: 1026

Day Care Inspections: 01.
School Food Service Inspections: 0.
Bed & Breakfast Inspections: 2.

COMMUNICABLE DISEASE INVESTIGATION:

Staff investigated (1) communicable disease reported cases.

SWIMMING POOLS:

Staff inspected one (01) swimming pools, spas, or similar installations in July.

PLAGUE:

No activity for the month.

CAMPGROUNDS:

Staff inspected two (2) permanent campgrounds in July.  Staff inspected two (2) temporary campgrounds in July.

MASSAGE & BODY ART:

Staff inspected zero (0) massage & body art establishments for the month of July.  Two (02) massage therapists were licensed in the month of July. 

AGENCY MEETINGS:

  • Gary Hickman attended:  Staff (4), State EPI, Board of Health, City Council (2), CFD & Concessionaire, Division Directors (3) and ERT meeting.
  • Roy Kroeger attended:  Staff (4), City and Mayors meeting.
  • Beth Harris attended:  Staff (4) and ERT meeting
  • Terri Leichtweis attended:  Staff (4), ERT and Rib-fest meeting.
  • Jennifer Escobedo attended:  Staff (3) and City meeting.
  • Amie Merwin attended: Staff (3) and ERT meeting.
  • Tiffany Gaertner attended:  Staff (4).

TRAINING:

  • All staff conducted training at the CFD grounds in July with 207 participants attending.
  • Beth Harris dispersed information pamphlets at the Summer Enrichment School Picnic for Environmental Sciences.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT:

  • Roy Kroeger attended a photo shop class on 7/19 & 7/16.
  • Amie Merwin and Tiffany Gaertner attended Fit Testing in July. 

WATER:
Approximately (179) water samples were drawn for July.  (170) were satisfactory.  (09) were unsatisfactory. 

WESTNILE VIRUS:

Mosquito techs conducted periodic dip testing through out Laramie County and Crow and Dry Creek in Cheyenne.

FIREWORKS:

No firework stands inspected for this month.
