Treasurer
The
Treasurer is the Collector of taxes including property
taxes, motor vehicle fees and sales tax on vehicle
purchases. Fees collected for vehicle registration
are in lieu of property taxes. Other responsibilities
charged to the treasurer are receiving all moneys belonging
to the county, maintaining a true account of all county
receipts and expenditures, disbursing moneys for county
obligations on the warrants of the County Commissioners
and investing unencumbered moneys in accordance with
the County Investment Policy.
The
Laramie County Treasurer's Office is divided into three
departments:

- Motor
Vehicles
- Administration
There
are seventeen people on staff, including the treasurer.
